This combination just works for me. I posted my experience earlier on the Panasonic forum and received some feedback on coping with the inability to change aperture of the EFS lens (from wide open) by using the depth of field preview trick on another camera or purchasing a more expensive adapter. But for the kind of photos I take, jumping through all these hoops isn't necessary. With a 3.5 to 4.5 aperture and a base 160 ISO I haven't yet approached the 1/4000 shutter speed of the G3. And at these apertures I haven't missed stopping down for depth of field. The 10-22 at a 35 mm equivalent of 20-44 makes a great walking around lens and has allowed me re-establish manual my focus technique. The single downside that I have experienced so far is the size and weight of the lens.
