Thank you, stingOM. The FD 28mm f2.8 had a few bad reviews in a recent thread so I wanted to make a case for the defence. This model lens is the last of the cheap wide-angle FDs - prices for the 24mm and wider increase significantly, as does the size and weight. These pictures were shot using two samples of this lens with no noticeable differences in output between the two. Biggest issue I have found are significant red/cyan CA

I can't speak for everyone who uses legacy lenses on m4/3, but for someone like me who has only ever used cameras in the digital, auto-everything era, using a completely manual lens makes photography as much about the process of taking the photograph as it is the end product.
First shot with this lens, only had it a couple of days but got my adaptor last night. Typically the weather in the UK has turned crappy so indoor shots only.

Not sure about any differences in optical performance, but the new FD version is smaller and lighter and you won't need to mess around with a breech lock mechanism to mount it.
