Can my GH2 take quick photos as well as my EPL1?

I've owned a GH2 and EPL1 for about the same length of time, getting the Oly in a package deal to lens up my GH roughly two years ago. Since most of my work is video, the GH2 (in full manual mode) gets used far far more than the EPL1. I'm only a casual photographer.

Simply put, I love the quality of the OOC JPEGs from the EPL1. For quick family and spaces, I just put an auto lens on in Aperture priority and snap away with plenty of keepers requiring little to no post.

In my hands, the GH2 is just futzy for stills. Its AWB is unconvincing at best, it routinely flubs exposure and the colors in any mode don't pop half as well as the little EPL1. Yeah, I can get marvelous images if I drop back down to full manual and take my time, but that's not always suitable to the circumstances.

Curious where my failings are at getting the best out of the GH
