I had to pass up a pretty-looking Zeiss Ikon Voigtlander 115mm f4 at an antique shop for $39 the other day - I say "had to" because my adapted lens collection looks impoverished without something with either Zeiss or Voigtlander appearing somewhere :p

The main reason I didn't go for it was that a search turned up no contaflex adapters. Does such a thing exist?

I think the Contaflex lenses don't have a focusing mechanism so you'd need an adapter with one and they would be very expensive.

I noticed the elements didn't seem to be doing anything when I turned the ring. Alas!

Contaflex lenses aren't of the true interchangeable type. There's a few elements in the body itself, so the part you change out is only half the lens. Lovely lenses, but a weird and complicated setup.

In glad I trusted my gut. A pity, it was a really neat lens.
