Can GF1 remember focal distance after sleep?

    If my GF1 goes to sleep or I turn it off when it wakes back up again the focal distance that I had previously set on the 20/1.7 lens is lost (either via AF or MF) - It resets to a default focal distance.

    Is there any way of making the GF1 remember the previously set focal distance?

    I'm guessing that the answer to that question will be no. I hear that the LX5 can do this. It would be a very useful feature.

    If you can find a way around this I too would be happy. For me the GF1 is almost a perfect camera with two exception, Returning to a default focus is bad enough as it makes zone focusing very hard.

    You would think it would a simple enough fix for a firmware update. Although I won't be holding my breath on that one as I doubt there will be another update given that the GF2 is now out in the wild.
