Those prices are beyond amazing. I already have e-m5 and e-pl1. But would love to feel the size of e-pm1 with 14mm.

I have an E-PM1 & the 17/2.8 (hardly bigger than the 14/2.5) and the combo is not much thicker than my LX-5. I picked up the E-PM1 when it was $329.95, but Cameta dropped the price to $299.95 after a few days, so BuySAFE refunded the difference (minus PayPal fees). Fantastic bargain!

    What!
You mean you don't want the 12-35 or 35-100 - That's blasphemy!

But...it is good to have all the glass that one wants...

I think f2.8 is not bright enough on m43 to replace bright primes. It's ok on a Sony APS-C sensor cause of 1 stop DoF and light advantage. Often, 1 stop makes all the difference between pleasant and distracting bokeh. IMO, we need f2 or brighter for creative control and low available light. At f2.8 I'll be stuck at ISO3200 indoors. This might be ok on Nex but not on E-PM1. Basically, this Panasonic zoom is primarily for daytime when I would just use much smaller and likely just as sharp Panny 14-45mm and save $1000 for PL25+Oly45 combined.

Nice. For that price I would've gotten an E-P3 last winter... Too late now though

I'm kind of in your neck of the woods here - which is in part, why I'm saving up for the M. Zuiko 75mm vice one of the zooms....

That's one reason I finally caved and splurged on a silver E-M5 body when ********** had a few on Ebay last week. Between the new sensor and the super IBIS, my 17/2.8 and 45/1.8 should do quite a bit better in low light. Plus stabilization in the viewfinder means no more motion sickness! My E-PM1 is fantastic in good light though. Having gotten such a great deal on the E-PM1 makes the E-M5's price tag hurt a little less.

No more toys for me for a l-o-n-g time now.

I am pretty sure f stops are the same, regardless of sensor size... Just saying
