Like many here, I don't read all the threads, and sometimes I get so caught up in the gear fascination that I miss a lot of good image threads. Other times, I enjoy an image but can't think of what to say, so I don't say anything. Today I was reading this thread and was struck by what Joe said: Can't argue with that. There's no rule you have to like photography to participate here, but I'm pretty sure most of us do. Let's all try and make a concerted effort to comment more often on photos, especially when we see an image thread that hasn't seen many (or any) replies. To that effect, we have a new site tab "Image Threads" (right next to "101 Active Discussions"), which gives a list of the 200 most recent threads from our "Images to Share" forums as well as our lens sample image archive threads. If you click on that tab, it's easy to scan down the "Replies" column and see how many replies each has gotten. A thread with "0" replies doesn't mean the photos are uninteresting. It's an active board, and once threads fall from the top of the recent discussions list, they're unlike to be seen by most readers. I hope that others will join me in checking the new tab periodically to generally be more involved in the image threads and also to catch those image threads that have slipped by unnoticed.
