The Lost Coast is a stretch of rugged coastline in northern California between Mendocino and Eureka. The name comes from the fact that the coastal highway cuts inland, making much of it inaccessible by car. This also makes it a good place for backpacking and photography. I've done the northern section several times, and here are a couple of the photos from the most recent venture in mid-May.

Ack! One of my bucket places to explore in CA, but the time spent getting there and leaving there from Hollywood has always proven juuuust to much.

    Nicely done, and I'm jealous.

I especially like the first one. I hadn't heard of this area before, but now I have to put it on my list of places to visit.

Very nice set, I'd love to pull on my hiking boots and go walking there.

Thanks everybody! I forgot to mention - all images are from the E-M5 and 12-40/2.8. For anybody who enjoys backpacking, I highly recommend the hike, particularly in late April when the wildflowers peak.
