Kowa 8mm F1.4 2/3" format. Actually this lens has remarkably low distortion compared to other similar focal length c-mount lenses.

Problem is (besides the obvious) the back end of the lens protrudes deep into the camera and rubs hard on the baffles and almost touches the shutter when focused to infinity.

Having to throw away over half the image to get "proper" performance doesn't help its case either. It's ok though, because between all of the smaller-format EVIL cameras (Pentax, Nikon, etc) these lenses will go up a bit in value, where they will work properly.

Yeah, with me it is a case of having a variety of lenses laying about "I wonder what this one will look like?" and slapping it on! 2/3" format c-mount has lots of trouble with larger format sensors. Even the 1" format c-mount can have trouble (not so much in video mode).
