I'm looking to get something wide for my G2 without spending to much. After researching, I understand that CCTV lenses mount on with a C-Mount adapter. How do we find out which CCTV lenses are acceptable? I'm looking at b&h and I found 12F1.2 by Marshall Electronics for a reasonable price. I checked Amazon and Ebay and found the brand Computar 12F1.4 for a reasonable price too. Both look exactly alike, so I'm assuming they might be the same lenses, just rebranded? I was looking at the 25F1.4 they sell on Ebay by Rainbowimaging, but I think I'd like to go a bit wide and since the M43 system has a 2x crop factor, I think I would be better off with 12F1.2.

Here's what the Marshall one looks like:

As far as I know, none of the C-mount lenses shorter than 25mm have 100% coverage of a micro 4/3 sensor. But the coverage seems to vary by the lenses. I believe a few of the 12mm lenses have slight vignetting at the corners, others have even less coverage.

Some of the 25mm lenses have full coverage, others not. The best list I've found is this one:

Unfortunately it hasn't been updated for a while.

That is quite a list. All I can add is some clarification on 3 Navitar lenses.

D5095 is 50mm F0,95 and does provide full coverage of the sensor but simply cannot mount anywhere near the correct back focus distance. Using a 5mm extension the lens can be mounted but the working distance becomes ~ 1 meter with ~25 cm of focus range.

The D1795 is 17mm F0.95 and is a 25mm F0.95 (D2595) with a removable front lens group so really two lenses in one (thus the premium price tag). Works almost for 16:9 video but there is still noticable vignetting.

All three are not very sharp but to tighten up fairly well at F2.8.

For $600 they are not worth it given so many other native options in that price regime.
