I really like the images it produces on my GX-1

Wow, amazing what you find online.

Yours looks an awful lot like a 28mm 2.8 Ricoh lens I used to have in M42... It had a really odd shaped diaphragm.
Stopped down it had really angular aperture blades. Does yours?

Bushnell has some ridiculously heavy and large zoom telephoto lenses. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) nobody bought them...

The wides were pretty good but the telephotos and zooms were pretty bad.

Yes, it kind of looks like an 8 pointed star when stopped down.
