Another amazing feature thread.. I need to step up my game. Well done, great compositions. Not that they look HDR but are they? Did you use a CPL?
Ya, I was gonna ask about the CPL too. Did you adjust white balance?
Also, silly question, but how do you embed your smugmug photos in the thread?
Hopefully you hit some powder runs at Brianhead on the way....
Thank you all!
No, single exposures. And no CPL either - skies in Utah are so blue and deep that CPL would make them almost black.
WB was mostly auto and left intact in post processing. Off course there are color adjustments.
Just click on Share button in smugmug, select Photo Only, select size and use link to JPG here.
Not really, I usually take Route 12, so I hit Capitol Reef NP.
You lucky, lucky, lucky dog! I've been to Bryce several times, but never in the winter . . . and your pictures, which are gorgeous, attest to what I'm missing. Outstanding!
Wow, amazing images! The images look very 3D to me, the rocks and trees pop out to me, great job!
The hardest part about pictures from Bryce is that no one believes the colors
It is just like that in real life
I've been there in the spring and summer. Thanks for the winter view! Did you stay overnight nearby? At Rubys?
Rt 12 is awesome and, IMO, is a must-drive when visiting around the area.
Yes, visiting Bryce in snow was on my to do list for this winter, so I was watching the weather and road cams (thanks Utah DOT!).
Stayed in Ruby's and Bryce Canyon Resort and did two day hikes - Figure 8 and Fairyland loop trails.
Have to say that snowshoeing in Utah's powder snow is just amazing!
Wow, beautiful. One of my bucket list. Now I have to add in winter as well
Gorgeous! I love the contrast between the snow and the reddish stone. Limestone? We've been lucky to have so many great wintry landscapes recently to enjoy.
Very nice indeed. This trip is on my bucket list as well. Thanks for sharing.
Add me to the "WOW" list!
Great photos. I should get over there this winter, but it's so far away.
Really lovely, thank you for sharing.
Very beautiful. Personally I think that images 2, 3, and 4 are a cut above the rest!
