I took these this summer most from British Columbia CA some from the US.

This time I traveled with my GF1 and shot JPGs, this is the first time I have not shot raw while traveling. I used the multi film mode and took a bw and color version of every picture. I missed the data and dynamic range while post processing, but over all I am happy with the way it worked out. I like the simplicty and feel of the Gf1 and jpegs.

It was a pretty long haul from Texas, My wife and I in a Honda Civic. We drove north up to Jasper then west to Haida Gwaii then took the ferry down to Vancouver Island then high tailed it home. It was an enjoyable trip, lots of tent time, visited some friends, and a couple of hotels. The only ferries I had been on previous to this trip have been short rides in Texas and Louisiana, this trip covered lots new ground for me both figuratively and literal. Lots of pictures.

Haida Gwaii is a 2 day trip from Vancouver by land and water. I wrote the door hardware for the new hospital and everything had to be really right the first time because there was no local tech support and parts took at least 2-3 days to get to them. The nearest locksmith is an 8 to 10 hour drive away.
