I took my sons to the annual LEGO Brick Fair in Virginia last weekend. The expo showcases LEGO creations from all over the US, and most of the exhibits are done by AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO). Many of the dioramas and built-from-scratch creations were amazing, and took months to build. These folks truly have a passion for LEGO-----and I thought :43: were hard core! All taken with the E-PL1 and the Oly 14-150mm. A three-foot, scratch built robot: The "Onion Bulbs" from Red Square (cut off in the lower part of the frame is part of a model of Mont-Saint Michelle in the Normandy region) One AFOL with a beautiful scratchbuilt Lego Sukhoi 27 Flanker. I loved the way he chose the right-colored Lego bricks to emulate the acutal aircraft's camo pattern. He even bothered to ensure the right level of detail for the air-to-air missles, and the landing gear even retracted. A Sea Monster dirorama---to get a sense of scale, look at the people standing next to the right of the model. There was a convention hall filled with this stuff, really mind-blowing and inspiring.
