Been through a bit of a flat patch with my photography… back troubles and general malaise all contributed.

Still this morning I dragged myself out side for a wander around Gent, armed with the OMD and the 17 and 75

    The results are here

Sometimes you just have to grab the camera and go. Looks like a fine day for a walk.

back is improving... nothing major... just years of inattention

anyway its nice to post some pictures as an antidote to the overriding "nervous GAS is greener on the other platform mixed with impossible question syndrome and why can't my camera doitis " that seems to have infected this forum

    peace

Gent is one of my favourite cities, and I think you have tried to capture the 'real' Gent, as opposed to the tourist Gent. Please keep shooting, and best wishes to your back!

its an odd sometimes schizophrenic town... somedays you go out and it seems its almost deserted, and other times you find a frenetic bar or some festival happening and it all changes... I like it

For me, it's the contrast between mediaeval Gent - van Eyck altar, old town - and today's Gent: with Antwerp, THE flemish city.

The fourth one doesn't really do it for me. Love the colors in the first one and he girls face in the third. I usually like most of your work though, so keep it up!

The first sentence almost led me to believe that you were going down that path of saying your goodbye due to being bit by the Fuji bug nonsense.

I empathize with the second sentence. Having done little if any shutter actuation myself lately due to my primary career. Finally returned to my bodybuilding routine to keep the lower back strong. Hope you feel better. Thanks for sharing the images.

I really like the first two, as I'm a fan of the textures and forms of the urban still life. The expression on the face of the little girl in #3 makes that shot.

    thanks 0Dbm

quite definately immune to the Fuji bug.... don't see any advantage in it for the way I work and the results that satisfy me.... if I do feel any symptoms I can always borrow one of the girlfriends Leicas or even her X100.

sticking with m4/3, will be getting an M1 so I can use my 4/3 lenses again

    cheers
