I am from that area - in Branson itself I don't think their are so many great scenery pictures. If you go to the parks around I think you'll find better spots. You can check out Roaring River state park in Cassville, MO - about 1 hour west of Branson on US-76. Personally I think NW Arkansas has more interesting locations, such as Eureka Springs, Bentonville and Fayetteville area. South and West of Branson the hills/mountains are more dramatic and scenic. The drive on 76 from Branson to Cassville is quite slow due to the winding roads but enjoyable. You could stop by Roaring River before heading down to Eureka Springs, or you could take US-65 down to Arkansas and drive west on 62 which is also a scenic drive with better views.
TL -DR - if you want good pictures, suggest going an hour and a half SW to Eureka Springs.....
