Please post the images and comments from the Boston Area Meet & Greet in this thread.

We had a terrific time, even met an MU-43 lurker, Jeff. Saba, the founder of the photo tour was awesome, a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide. I wish more of you could have made the trip.

I came accompanied by my wife Michelle, my daughter Ashley, and a niece from South Carolina, Jennie. Once in town we met member Fred Long for breakfast at the Paramount, and shortly after, Hyubie and Jeff at the Shaw Memorial.

After the Beacon Hill Tour, we said goodbye to Jeff. Fred, Hyubie and my gang made our way across the Common to the T station. We parted ways with Hyubie and the rest of us went on the Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Haymarket Square. Great day, great company.

I'll be working on my post... till then, there's this.

ps. My lovely wife's G1 was being used by the guide, Saba to take the shot....

    We had a nice day...

    Hi Brady,

We had a nice day. hyubie still has my 28mm Pentax lens  It's really too bad he hadn't already received his new G3. Then again, it might have ruined his day with us trying to wrestle it away from him..

    Here's a few more.

I suspect you'll be seeing almost the same images among all four of us (assuming Jeff posts!), but here's some of the images I took while on the tour.

First, a couple of shots of our surprisingly (at least for me) photogenic state house:

    @ The Shaw Memorial:

And are some of the scenes:

    And now the photographers:

There's more at my flickr, to whoever's interested. I just didn't want to flood the thread. :) As always, comments are welcome.

Here I am! It was a lot of fun meeting all of you, and I appreciate how nice you were to me in spite of the fact that my girlfriend is a Canon user. Boston was particularly photogenic yesterday and we managed to get a lot of gorgeous shots. Here are a few of mine:

The first two were taken with the 45-200, while the last three were taken with my trusty ol' No Name 25mm CCTV lens.

    Jef,

I'm so glad you posted! So many nice captures! But, the B&W of the gal playing guitar is just beautiful, captures a summer day in town so nicely.

Is your lady friend okay, having carried that Canon (Howitzer) around all morning?

    Cheers, Alan

PS. Post Jeff, your work is very very good!!!

    Hi Hyubie,

Don't have any worries about redundancy in this thread. The whole idea was to see different interpretations of the event. More than likely the thread will get most of its visits from those of us that attended, though it'd be really nice for lots of others to check in.

    Just keep them coming...

I only processed a few last night.

So sad I missed it. OK not too sad, as I was on the Cape for the week in a beach shack, but still sad I missed everyone. Hopefully there will be another one not too long from now.

    Great shots everyone!

I've had a spotty internet connection the last couple of days, but I finally managed to upload some photos.

First, Saba, our intrepid guide, shows how to take an above average photo of the Shaw Memorial.
