Is there any way to boost the range of the wifi built into our camera's?

I'm finding mine always comes up short for me whatever camera I'm using and its makers app on my iPad.

I was tempted to say you could use a Pringles can, but I'm not sure they are available on your side of the "pond". :hide:
On a more serious note, how far of a range are you seeking, and what is your current maximum range?

I suppose something like this should work:

Amazon.com: NETGEAR Trek N300 Travel Router, Range Extender, and Wireless Bridge (PR2000): Computers & Accessories

TP-LINK TL-WR702N Universal N Nano Travel Router/Wi-Fi Range Extender/TV, Gaming Set-top Adapter with USB Charger: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories (in repeater mode)

but it needs a power source. I suppose any good/recent USB power pack should work for this but I think you won't get more then a few hours depending on the capacity (5000 mAh, 12000 mAh, etc.).
If you have access to the grid you have many more wall powered options.
