There's a similar thread over at PentaxForums.com that has some amazing work in it, and looking through the archives here there seems to be quite a few members using uber-fast legacy glass, sooooo....

Perhaps we could have a sticky thread for images shot on f1.2 or faster lenses, at f1.2 or faster? (I spose the Nokton 25mm would be welcome as well...)

Without being presumptuous, I'll get the ball rolling

Canon FL55 f1.2 adapted to Canon EF then to M43

I haven't got much to post in this thread yet, as almost all my use of the above lens has been on my Canon DSLR.
I did take a couple of impromptu shots two evenings ago and I inadvertently recorded 3 planets, not just Jupiter! A check on an astronomy program showed them to be Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. I was able to discern all three in a screen sized image, so hopefully they are visible! I will take some more shots in due course with this combo and wide-open.

Do you mean EF 85mm f/1.2 L II?

Hot damn I want that lens

Out of interest, why don't you just get an adapter for that lens? It'd be a beast of a mid-tele on MFT!

Here's some more of mine :)

My god, what's with the price differences? On e-bay the Pentax SMC 50 f/1.2 ranges from $40 to someone selling it with a pentax film camera for $2,000.

Ebay sellers have a annoying tendency to list the SMC Pentax 1:2 50mm as a SMC Pentax 1:1.2 50mm... There's about 20 million 50/f2's in the world and they're worth precisely bugger all

Standard price for a decent K-50/f1.2 is $300-450, and for an A-50/f1.2 about $400-500. The two models are optically similar but the 'A' variant is designed to be used in 'Program Exposure' on Pentax SLR's.

I'm only guessing, but the $2000 item is probably one of the Pentax LX special editions, which are very rare and collectable.

I hate to be pedantic, but this should properly be called "Shallow DOF Porn", not bokeh porn. Boken is not a synonym for shallow DOF. Bokeh refers to the quality of the out of focus areas (are they "smooth and creamy" or rough and grainy; are OOF circles clean, round circles or do they show the shape of a non-round aperture or are they distorted, not round, etc.)

You can have "good" bokeh without shallow DOF, and shallow DOF with bad bokeh.
