Trying to keep up with this cheeky little one who practically ran over the top of my shoes looking for a handout.

I was actually shooting for the ducks, but it looks like my lens is calibrated correctly :2thumbs:. I can't wait for the new AI auto-focus - with the new and improved "eye" detection; I'll probably get a ton of these. The guy wasn't even looking at the camera. I guess my PDAF is Pareidolia Detect Auto Focus (but this was a real face).:crying: Low light face detection - outstanding!!!

I wanted the narrowboat in focus and the tree soft! This is what happens when using a new camera and you are not yet up to speed with the focusing modes. :coco:

One of a great many photos I took of this very obliging Thick-leggeded Flower beetle (Oedemera nobilis) last summer - every single one was out of focus. It was a bad day for focus-peaking, and I blame the breeze and lack of tripod :)

This was just blur, but I really fancied the yellow capes the two Masai women wore, so with a bit of editing to lift those I thought it made a "proper" impressionistic picture. May crop a bit further on the top, so as to loose the sky completly.

Version II, I like this better, lightened the foreground, lost the sky, thightened up the crop. Think it pops better than the first version.

Just another super blood wolf moon lunar eclipse shot that didn't work out. I spent my time out on the deck as it was the only place that would clear the trees, laying on the crusty snow in 13 degree F air with a gusty wind -- I think the windchill was below 0 technically but I don't pay much heed to that because I don't normally go out with exposed skin anyway. I used a small table-top tripod and remote release but the deck was shaking for most shots because of the wind. My daughter came out briefly but declared it wasn't worth being in that cold. So despite my willingness to get a good shot of the colors I forgot to change the ISO and only got long shutter speeds. I stupidly lay there counting the seconds.
