Sometimes a blur is intentional. Sometimes you miss focus. Sometimes your hand shakes or the object moves. Unwanted at first, but sometimes the results are good.

This bird hopped away right when I was shooting him! Color of this photo is not really good and the bird is blur. But this is one of my favs! Pentax 135mm f3.5 on PM2.

Looking for a handout in the Grand Canyon. Taken with my GM1 and the 12-32 kit lens. He was really close to the lens and wasn't the least bit disturbed.

Fantail, doesn't stay still for more than a second at a time. Complete blur as it launches off.

Great idea for a thread!

These were both attempted panning shots which didn't quite work, but in both cases I really liked the end result:

This was an experiment from a few years ago. I intentionally mis-focused by setting to manual focus and randomly spun the focus ring, kind of a photo russian roulette. No one in my family liked it but I've kept it all the same.

Neat idea!

This one was intentional, but the only one that wasn't too-o-o-o blurry.
