As my wife was visiting a friend I took a photo bike ride last Saturday. We planned this trip into Ohio having no control over the weather. Saturday morning was cold, windy, rainy, and we had heavy sleet. I decided to go anyway. I drove to the Gorge entrance, assembled my bike in the rain, slung my Lowepro Sling Shot over my shoulder and took off. It did quit raining as the ride progressed. I had several lenses with me but stuck almost completely with the Sigma 19. I wished I had a wider prime - I used the kit lens for one shot (not in this set). My camera is a G2, and it made me nervous using it in the rain. Here are several shots from the ride.

Looks beautiful. I used to go to Ohiopyle every weekend when I was in grad school. Thanks for sharing the pics.

    Cheers,

The images lack a bit of punch/contrast/sharpness in my opinion, quite close to what a mobile phone would deliver. Maybe you can change your technique or postprocessing a bit. :)

The place does indeed look interesting.

    Jermonic,
Thanks for your observations. I'd like to do it again when I'm not half frozen. Hopefully, that would help, but maybe that is just wishful thinking. I often revisit and do some PP after some time passes.
