    Hi

My EM1 has a small black hole on its bottom under the grip. Doesn't look like it is missing a screw. What is it for? And I presume that it is not susceptible to water ingress? Or dust/sand?

Yes, similar to the one on the E-M5, it is used to align the grip for proper seating of the contacts, etc. You first put the grip's pin into the hole, then seat the rest.

If your "black hole" isn't sucking in everything including light and doesn't have an event horizon, don't worry bout it. :)
