Black and White Landscapes

I have been photographing landscapes for a few years now (on and off). I am wanting to move in to Black and White Photography including B+W landscapes.

I have created the photo below. I would appreciate any comments at all, especially constructive criticism.

Perhaps others would like to add their B+W landscapes.

Perhaps we could get this as a sticky. Maybe we already have one?

Not bad at all, I like the composition, the image has a lot of depth. If anything the mid ground is a bit dark, maybe some dodging to bring it up a little? Nice work!

I'm by no means an expert, so I'll talk from 'gut feeling'. I like how the rocks pop in the bottom right corner, I feel the left side of the landscape is somewhat lacking expression. But I think that's most likely because I'm looking at this image on a glossy monitor on a relatively bright day

Maybe slightly over done, but I like the contrast in this one. Any thoughts?

Overall I like the image except the fore/mid ground have very little contrast. If it were not for the rocks it would just be a lump of dark gray. The sky is awesome however!

I like your picture except for the contrails in the sky. I find them very distracting! The shadows also hide some of the details of the ruin in the foreground.

Great contrast, eery looking sky and gorgeous mountains. I personally would have cropped a bit closer if the shed is suppose to be the subject. If it wasn't then I would have avoided having it in the frame.

As to the OP, I'll second others feedback. The sky and foreground rocks work well. The mid-ground is low contrast and I'm not sure what to do about it really!

One of my first shots with the OM-D, taken with the PL 25mm at f/8, it was converted in Silver Efex Pro 2 and cropped to 16:9

Yes, that's right. It is actually Denali peak hidden in the clouds that is creating the lenticulars.
