Well, I'm about to tie he bullet, and buy another couple of lenses. The 14, 2.5, and the 45-175. I'll get the former from one of the Asian sites on eBay. Opinions on the later seem to be very mixed, but with more recent comments more positive. I want it to video my son's string concert in a few weeks (where we are on the other side of the gym from the musicians), so it should work for that. Spring break is next week, so I should have time to test the OIS on my GH2. If I'm not happy I can return it within the 30 day period. Why does b&h have the black one with free shipping and the silver one without?
Anyone want to disagree with my idea?

    Th nks

I own the 14 2.5 and it works great, quick and silent operation, but it's lack of stablization, anyway it handles low light situation in video shooting, the other choice can be 20 1.7, that however said to have slower AF.

As a kit lens shipped with GF2/3, if you're buying from an asian site since btw I'm Chinese and I know, a new 14 2.5 equals to about 125 USD all over the C2C sites - crazy, I know, and the 20 1.7 price triples:)

I'm probably ignorant - what are C2C sites?

I had to look it up as well C2C - customer to customer sites(Craig's list, eBay, amazon, kijiji, etc...)

Although $125 for a 14 is a price I've never seen, let alone average price, but maybe I'm just not paying attention as its a lens I'd never buy.

it refers to the consumer to consumer trading website, though in China it has grown into a huge huge industry, quite a lot purchase can be made on C2C sites, not literally c2c anymore.

I know not many people can believe the price, but that's exactly what c2c's all about, which is quite fair, you can always trade things for the real value, economically balanced between supply&demand. Without the fact that 14 2.5's being shipped broad with GF2/3 and not as great as 20 1.7 optically, it'd be much expensive, probably i should mention that the panny 14-42 is equal to lower than 100 usd on the c2c sites

I ended up getting my 14mm from podmantech in the US. It arrived today, securely packed in two layers of bubble wrap, and then some stiffer foam sheeting. It also came with a small neoprene bag. My 45-175 will arrive on Monday from b&h. I did this so I can return it if the OIS is not satisfactory.
