The Tamron 18-250 is not that sharp even when stepped down, but it's good enough.
The birds pictured are a crested caracara also known as a Mexican eagle and some sort of hawk. Then some domestic ducks and a curious turkey buzzard. The buzzard is not pretty up close but is pretty and graceful when soaring as it has at least a five foot wing span.
