I am considering the options for the above type of lens and I was wondering if the 4/3 Olympus 70 - 300mm would be ridiculously unwieldy on my little EP2. I have seen quite a mixed bag of results from the Panasonic m4/3 longest lens and am looking for other options within a reasonable budget. I have read Wrotniak's review and it seems to be a good lens. I have a Nikon 70 - 300mm VR lens which is very heavy but the Olympus is lighter than that one.

Not so unwieldy I should think. I used this lens on my E-410, which didn't handle all that much differently than an E-P1, and it handled fine. It's a good, sharp lens, but it was a slow focuser on the E-410 and I'd expect that it would be very slow to focus on an E-P1.
