I was at a scottish event in Nijmegen (Netherlands) last week and there was a great oppertunity for me to get some shooting time with the panny 45-200. Just bought the lens a few days before so i had to get used to it, shot a lot of pictures but only a few made the final cut.

Let's just say I'm glad I'm not shooting with film.

And it´s my first `serious` attempt with a serious camera, so please be gentle, but nonetheless I´m very much open for suggestions how to improve.

These are very nice! Thanks for sharing. Just a small comment regarding your first picture, if you had taken one or two steps to your right, you could have eliminated the distracting black shoes from the background. Even though they are nicely out of focus, they are still a bit distracting because of the color and proximity to your subject. :)

    Indeed, very nice results !
And your last one is the best also in my opinion.
If you could just desaturate the background a little bit, the bird would stand out more, and the pic becomes a real winner !

    Thx for the compliments,

And f6cvalkyrie, I know what you mean that foot was irritating me too, I kinda hoped no-one would notice.

Somehow I hesitate to fire-up photoshop to actually remove things, 'cause then I have the feeling it's not really a photograph anymore.
