Here's a rather more serene scene than the scenes seen in the amazing photos @Indianpeaksjoe shows.
This is us cycling over the Gospel Pass in the Vale of Ewyas in the Black Mountains in Wales.
It's around an 11km uphill slog to a lowly 542 metres, and in 30 degree C temperatures it was rather warm.

Woo-hoo, that was fun!

After descending the pass most of the way, we had to divert onto another one and climb to 442 metres, which nearly finished me off.
Thankfully, we found a small farm shop in a village on our way back to our motorhome and enjoyed cooling ice creams.
All told it was a pleasant / tough ride of just over 31 miles.
Not bad for a couple of real oldies, especially for my wife who has recently had a hip replacement operation.

Bought this one when summer was around the corner, after my previous bike got stolen earlier this year. It's fun to ride out in the woods.

It got smoky today, decided to stick close and explore on the fat bike.
