I assume you are referring to the predators seen in this image:

Is it just me, or do those look like statues or cutouts of some kind? Reminds me of how in the U.S. we have dog cutouts to keep geese away from ponds and lakes where they pollute the water.

I had to google "dropbears". Too funny. You Aussies need a national economic crisis or something to fill your spare time.

What's really funny is this description really fits Bhup's photos:

Yer right about that! I always dab a little Vegemite behind my ears and stick a couple forks (dipped in toothpaste) in my hair whenever I go for a photo walk in the woods -- even here in the wild and wooly sylvan infestations of the Illinois corn-belt.

It can be pretty scary! My next-door neighbor once had a huge polar-bear-like creature drop out of a tree onto her tent when she was winter camping near a river here. Fortunately she was able to frighten it away with a bottle of Captain Morgan.

Glad to see Bhuppy is back safe and sound. (Well... maybe not sound.)

I'm glad you know the right repellant mate, (aeroguard won't do a thing) I didn't realize you had these ferocious animals in the US.
