I have a ZS50. I had another, gave it to a friend, and then later purchased a second example when they were $299. An easily overlooked camera. But it's surprisingly useful and offers output much better than one might expect from its small sensor, thanks to Panasonic's decision to stick with 12mp. It's also small and light enough to take anywhere with enough zoom range to make up for what one's smartphone lacks. At $199, it's a low-risk, no-brainer. And a fantastic stocking stuffer. :)

I had a zs40 and now have a ZS60 and these cameras are a very useful, take anywhere camera. Good quality pictures with a fantastic zoom. If you have a Panasonic camera the menu and function buttons are very similar
