My sister's P&S is busted and I was thinking about getting her a new one for Christmas. Anybody know what the best P&S for $100 or less is? I might go a little bit higher but not much. Thanks!

I really like what Sony does on the P&S side for non-enthusiast photographers. Good auto everything if you want to go that way. I'd specifically check out the Cybershot W610. $88 on Amazon ATM.

Those shots are great. To me, this is a perfect example that a good picture has little correlation to the camera. A tool is only as good as the person wielding the tool.

at that price, a excellent stocking stuffer.... especially for the young ones...

it could ignite a spark in them for bigger things to come...

Lucille, I have yet to see a bad photograph from you reagardless of the camera you're using at any given time. Very impressive.

I've been happy with the results out of my wife's Panasonic TS-20. It's been on and off "sale" pricing at various sources. Currently (2012-11-24) Amazon has it for $119, not to far outside of your budget
