Happily, not my roof, but the roof of the outdoor privy at Clarendon Estate, Tasmania. Which was not in use. Probably a win-win!

I envisioned him having an in flight collision with a flying pollen truck and is stopping to clean up before he tries to explain why he's so late back at the hive.

The Hairy Footed ones (Anthophora plumipes) are busy down our way in the Charente. First outing this year with insects as the target in the garden at the new house. Always a waiting game to see what's resident on an unknown local patch.
