The Lilac colored flower is just under 25mm across and the white flower is closer to 15 mm. Raynox dcr150 on Oly 40-150 f4-5.6
They only alight for a second and are really hard to capture ( many failures, some with legs dangling from top of frame)

I'm not an expert, but there is a simple guide to bee identification here.
I've certainly posted a few "not bees" in this thread before.

Thanks @phigmov, I’d not seen that site. Going by the antenna the first small bee photo probably is a bee. The second one on the white flower is questionable. At 5 to 7 mm in length there isn’t much of them to I.d. I see a macro lens in my future!

There you go Brian. Not the best pics but good enough to show the Pringle snoot. This one is a little long for this lens, I made this for my Panagor 90mm macro lens which is a lot longer. When I've eaten my next can of Pringles I will make a shorter snoot.

The Pringle tube is a perfect fit over my Yongnuo speedlight. If you have a different flash you might have to modify the end to get a snug fit.

I wasn't sure if the snoot was intended to diffuse the light or direct it onto the subject.
Given how close to the lens a subject is with the Olympus 60mm Macro, I presumed a diffuser would be the best way forward?

Hi Brian.
This YouTube video shows how to make your own snoot and diffuser on the cheap. I don't do much macro so I would rather make my own.
