Hope that's not your roof, and very glad it's not ours! I am seriously allergic to bee stings.
Happily, not my roof, but the roof of the outdoor privy at Clarendon Estate, Tasmania. Which was not in use. Probably a win-win!

The Hairy Footed ones (Anthophora plumipes) are busy down our way in the Charente. First outing this year with insects as the target in the garden at the new house. Always a waiting game to see what's resident on an unknown local patch.

A couple of hot days in the UK, and the insects were all over the flowers of the runner beans in my garden. Not all of them were bees though.
