I recently went camping in Frontenac Provincial Park. I'd never been there before, but I was immediately impressed by how beautiful, well-maintained, and oddly empty it was. We stayed for 4 nights, and we were totally alone at our backcountry campsites for 3 of them. I guess the end of September is late enough that people are back into their ordinary routines, but it was a really wonderful surprise. The vast majority of the weight we carried was of course dedicated to the things we needed to eat, sleep, and shelter us, so I brought just my GX7 + 14-140. It may not be a recipe for "wow factor" but I always come away impressed with the versatility, usability, quality, and compactness such a simple kit offers. Try as I might, I can never manage to find a kit that can replace it. But I should let the pictures speak for themselves!
