AVCHD movies and the PRIVATE folder

    So, the AVCHD MTS files are here: PRIVATE/AVCHD/BDMV/STREAM.

    What's all the other stuff in the PRIVATE folder and subfolders? It looks like some kind of database about the clips? Does any program use any of those files?

    Also, a pet peeve: I hate when I delete all the movies, it starts numbering them again at 00000.MTS. Why can't it remember the number sequence like with photos?

    Evidently it's AVCHD standard (kind of).

    Still don't know the answer to whether any programs use all those other files: clip info, etc.
