Had a chance to visit a local garden in Vancouver this weekend and thought I would share some pics. The first day I went was pretty wet as evident in the first few pics. The rain had stop which left nice water droplets on the leafs and flowers. The 2nd day I went was very sunny and it was free that day. I got some great opportunities to take some photos of the children playing.

The Olympus 45mm f1.8 worked wondrous when I was able to get it to focus. I am not sure why but like I mentioned in another thread, sometimes it just won't focus. Had major problem focusing on the children with the busy leaf background.

I also used my Voigtlander 25mm with a ND filter. It was very fun to use!

Lately I have been very into this look in pictures 1, 5, and 10. I start with the 300 preset which is usually provides a very dark look. I then use Brilliance Warmth from Nik Color Efex 4 to add back some color and warmth into it. That's pretty much it.... depending on pic I may add soft focus and glow to it.

Really? That's it? I don't have Nik Color Efex. Which 300 preset are you using? I think I have one from Lightroom Killer Tips, but I imagine there may be a number of 300 versions out there.

Nice pics. #1 and #7 in particular caught my attention.

I try to avoid saying that, I can't keep thinking of what it sounds like!

Yeah, the colors/tones in 1,5 and 10 are fantastic. Reminds of a shot you posted a couple of months back of a sign on a gate, I think it was in a Scandinavian language ??? You had some fantastic colors in that too and I recall you said it was one of the 300 presets.

I've found 2 out there, the one created by Mike Lao is excellent and I much prefer it over the other one.

It can be a bit in the strong side and you've been doing incredibly well to customize it into something really cool.

    Keep posting !!

What "300" presets are you referring to, if you don't mind me asking? For LR? If it is for LR, are they built-in LR, or do I need to download them from another source?

    Thanks!!

I also took some videos that day... Here is a test video from the Voigtlander 25mm with f0.95 and a variable ND filter. I'm super noob to videos, so bare with me. I'm still learning how to put the videos together. Haha today I learned how to create a subclip. Anyways here is the video taken with the GH2 at 24fps with slow motion added. The colors were unchanged. It is pretty amazing how this lens renders the colors from the Autumn leafs.

the lenses draw beautifully and your processing is sensitive to the compositions (which are awesome). Which body are you using?

The first pic is with a Gf1 and the rest was with the GH2. I don't think they make a difference with my style of processing other than if it is in low light.

The presets are for lightroom. If you google 300 lightroom preset, you will be able to download them. Import the preset from lightroom and you will be able to use it.
