Pond off US HWY 10 in western MN. Autumn colors just starting to develop.
View from the bathroom window. Slow steady color change this season. Birch, cherry & younger maples started showing a blush of color couple weeks ago. Today a few mature oaks were tinged with a bit of gold. Should be a nice long color season this year.
The Canada Goose are starting to migrate. Those that spent time further north are starting to crowd the locals. Bit like the human tourists. This group was real camera shy. Walking up to the flock while deploying the tripod was a futile process. They had no interest in posing for an image & took off. One quick point & pan shot with the G2 + 45-200mm. Another heavily cropped image. Late day sunlight was nice. Bit off on the sharpness. Tripod dependent person.

This is actually the first shot taken with my new Panasonic GH2. I somehow managed to skip photographing the lens cap, my room, my cat and other fascinating things people usually photograph with their new cameras and lenses
