Has anyone tried the following combination for macro photography?

    1. Automatic Micro 4/3 extension tube such as Fotga or Meike
    2. Adapter Micro 4/3 to M42 with legacy M42 lens

I wondering if there are any issues with the above setup and if placing extension tubes before mft/m42 adapter causes any problems and they need to be put after adapter.

I have. It works fine. The electrical contacts if they have nothing to connect with still works- it just makes it a tube

Good to know. Was looking for cheap m42 tubes, but they don't come with a flange for auto m42 lenses that has a pin that needs to be depressed.

Figure if I get micro 4/3 tubes, they can be used for both native and adapted lenses then with an adapter.

B&H received some new Vello micro four thirds tubes, economy and deluxe editions. Pretty cheap compared to Kenko ($50 & $80 vs $180)
