Auto Yashinon DS-M 50mm 1.7, no manual aperture control?

    Got tshi M42 mount lens, but it does not have Auto- Manual switch, so it seems can only works as wide open on Digital SLRs.
    Any one had experience on this? It's pretty decent, if that's the way it is, it's a pity...

    Took a shot on the small wood toy car.

    This is also characteristic of Nikon G type lenses. For these lenses, a Nikon adapter is made with which you can control the aperture with the adapter. It's pretty crude, but it works.

    If it's like your usual M42 lens, there's an aperture pin on back of the lens. You need an adapter that has a flange to depress the pin if it has no auto switch.

    Thanks, I think this is the answer...
    Next question is how to take it apart? It looks like need cleaning...
