Which would you recommend using: auto ISO or iISO? Any real difference in real world shooting / IQ?

I use auto ISO on GF1. iISO will bump up the shutter speed and ISO when the camera detect motion in the frame, but it doesn't show the actual ISO when I half press the shutter, I found it not as convenient.

i find what aleksanderpolo's described, and the G1 gets noisy using higher ISO's, i tend to use auto iso when i need too, and set a limit to the highest ISO the camera will select :)  (think there's an option to do this in the menu)

ditto - stay in control with settings for max iso.
