Aurora borealis (northern lights)

    Here are some northern lights that I saw today after work. The green ones are quite common here.

    Wow. Very nice. What were your settings? i.e. ISO, aperture, shutter, etc.

    I live in Finnish Lapland, town of Ivalo to be exact, until next friday because I got a job from southern Finland and we are moving back to my home town.

    Iso 200, f/8, 50 sec, jpeg. They were a bit under exposed so I had to bring up some brightness afterwards during post process. They could have been less grainier with more exposure time or wider aperture, but I was in a hurry to not miss those lights.

    it was actually thinking about my upcoming December trip on the Norwegian Hurtigruten, and being able to take pics of aurora and in arctic winter twilight that got me to thinking about serious cameras again and led me to this forum and micro 4/3
