My hometown zoo, less than a mile from my house -- First outing with the 300mm f/4 and 40-150 f/2.8 PRO lenses. The 40-150mm immediately feels like an old friend, but the 300mm is definitely a beast with a learning curve.

Excuse the vignette effect in the first photo, I may have gotten carried away. :biggrin:

Well, I do frequently use auto-ISO (up to 1600) and shoot in aperture priority, letting the camera adjust the ISO to keep the shutter speed decent. But at some point I set it at 800 to boost my shutter speed and forgot to change it back for awhile, so there are quite a few images that are needlessly at 800. The first image is at 3200 because the indoor exhibit is not that bright and those little colobus monkeys are fast!

I did a few stupid things like leaving the EC at -1 or ISO at 500 while shooting in low light with my E-M10. Based on a suggestion I got on the forum, I now have MySet1 set to a default camera configuration (Auto ISO/no EC/Auto WB, etc.) on both my cameras and have it mapped to the Fn2 button on my E-M10. I will usually turn the camera on and hit Fn2 to get it to its "neutral" state and then adjust from there. May be helpful.

This a species called Red Wolf which I never knew existed. They were once abundant in east and mid-west of the USA and early settlers hunted them down to almost extinction. This zoo started captive breeding in late 60's and were able to release their first captive-bred wolf in the wild in 1987. There are now 100 wild and 200 in captivity. The wild ones are in 2 tiny areas in FL.
