A not very good picture of a most smashing facade.

I present to you the weird enclave of Portmeirion in Wales. Famously used as the set for the iconic show 'The Prisoner' (which they lean into A LOT). It was contrived as a 3/4 scale realisation of some guys idealised representation of non-specific European architecture. And the intro film at the visitors centre shows just how bat-shit crazy he was. On the day of this shot there happened to be a wedding.

You may think this doesn't look like architecture - but you would be wrong.

According to Historic England, this 19th century cast iron village pump in Middleton, Tamworth, is a Grade II listed building, no. 1365234.

Barry, if that shot were mine, I'd prune a bit off each side and print it at A2 size. It is very like Jeffrey Smart's paintings in its almost abstract quality.

I like it very much.

I used Hires function for slow shutter speed. It was a very bright day, and a 10 stop nd filter was used
