Is there an aperture/focal length guide posted somewhere to show at what focal length the aperture changes for the 40-150 (as compared to the 14-150)? I was able to snag a refurbished 14-150 through Olympus and, while it's OK for what it is, I've noticed that the aperture changes to f5.4 right around 42mm and holds that through 80mm. I'm curious to learn how the 40-150 behaves through its range. Thanks.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. When I've been experimenting photographing middle school futsal, I spent some time using the 14-150. I really had to push the ISO up (and the 12-40 obviously worked much better, albeit I needed more reach). It seems I would have been better off at least in this situation trying out the 40-150.

focusing speed is awesome on it , too

and - as hard as it may be to believe - picture quality of thing @ 75mm is prettty darn close to the 75/1.8. (obviously disvantage being not able to go wider than ~f5)

    deal of the year!

Thanks for the feedback. I also tried using the 75/1.8 – I snagged both from the Olympus refurb outlet – but found the 75/1.8 a little tight in that situation, which is why I fell back to the zoom. I'll likely keep the 40-150 on my radar for next season.
