Hi all, would like to ask if anyone else with my combo has this sound coming from the camera when you point it down. The aperture blades pop in and out and makes a "chik chik" sound.

Not sure if it's a design fault or an actual problem so I'd like to check with everyone else :)

Not a design fault and not a problem at all. The camera needs a certain amount of light to make live view work, it opens and closes the aperture depending on the brightness of the scene. This is completely normal.

  3. Fixed-lens compact cameras do the same (those with a proper diaphragm mechanism anyway), but the sound is less noticable because everything is so tiny.

That's great to hear! Now all I need to hope for is that it doesn't lead to problems in the future. Thanks guys :)
