Aperture B&W - Using Colour Brick

You probably all know this anyway, but if you are converting a photo to B&W in Aperture, you can do a little bit of additional fine tuning using the controls in the colour brick. Since some people sniff at Aperture for only having red, green and blue sliders in the Monochrome brick (although that is all you need), this does add a little bit extra. I have mostly used the luminance and saturation sliders. It doesn't always make a big difference, but it can.
