ANZAC Day ceremonies are an important part of Australian communities, and one which I look forward to being part of in my community. We gather outside the RSL Hall for an ecumenical service, with contributions from a number of RSL and community members, followed by a march of veterans and members behind the piper. This year's guest speaker said, 'We do not need to glorify war, but we can be proud of what we achieved'. The wreaths from community groups, organisations and individuals were presented and placed at the memorials. The service finished with our National Anthem, and was followed with refreshments and the chance to catch-up with neighbours and friends.
