Hey I got few Minolta lenses already and I'm really enjoying it. I ordered the MD > m43 Lens Turbo II few days ago, and I'm wondering if there anyway to use Olympus OM lenses on this adapter. I do know that M42 lenses can be used with the adapter using this m42 > MD mount: M42 Lens to Minolta MD SLR mount Adapter X700 X500 X370 I have yet not been able to find a similar OM > MD. Any suggestions/solutions? Thank you!
Hi, The OM mount has 2.5mm more flange distance than Minolta SR (aka MD), so it's theoretically possible. However, 2.5mm may not be enough to be practical for an adapter. But it's actually worse than that, OM is a larger diameter, so it'd be impossible to do unless you're willing to give up infinity focus. I think both can be adapted to Nikon or Canon EF (not sure which), and then you could use an appropriate focal reducer. Barry
That's a bummer [emoji50] I haven't received it yet and it still don't have any OM lenses so let's see if im gonna be needing the EF lens turbo. First thing I'm gonna test with the turbo is my Minolta MD 50mm f1.4. I should get 35mm @ f1. I hope it will be a bit more sharp wide open, although even now wide open results are pretty good.
